Williams is a wonderful town to be in for a perfect weekend. Visit the Grand Canyon by taking the Grand Canyon Railway train to the canyon for the day. There you can do a little hiking, see the Grand Canyon and maybe get to see a Condor.Go to the visitor center and see many of the exhibits there, and learn about the geology of the canyon, When you come back from the train in the evening, there is a gunfight for tourists,Take a ride in a horse with carriage, and go shopping in many of the quaint
little shops on old route 66. Go to the famous Rod's Steak House for a good steak dinner. After dinner go explore right next door to Rod's at the Wild West Junction. You will go back in time, go in the Territorial Museum, with a large collection of John Wayne Memorabilia, and visit a number of other old fashion sites and stores there. For the night stay at the beautiful Fray Marcos Hotel which is right at the Grand Canyon Railway station. The next day enjoy hiking the trail at Bill Williams Mountain, and from the top look out see beautiful views of Northern AZ. |
